AC Lloyd and Fusion
Complete fit out including interior design, project management, partitioning and electrical.
Residential apartments in Worcester were given a complete refurbishment, inside and out, by the WorkBox team this Spring. We successfully carried out full renovation work on the five High Street flats, including windows, roof and stone work repairs, on time and within budget.
Our client, homebuilding company, AC Lloyd, along with building consultants Fusion, commissioned us to overhaul the existing residential homes. The revamp included installing heating, lighting, new kitchens and bathrooms, full internal and external decorations, window repairs and new flooring throughout.
Our team also installed new flooring, lighting and decorated the communal areas linking the homes, working with building consultants Fusion on behalf of AC Lloyd.
Tony Hargreave, property asset manager at AC Lloyd, said: “I was completely impressed and amazed by how professional the WorkBox team are and how tidy the renovation areas were kept at all times. The work was done within budget guidelines and Nicki kept us informed and up to date during the project at all times. We look forward to developing our relationship with WorkBox further and would highly recommend them to others.”
Jake Dunkley, assistant building surveyor at Fusion, said: “It is my pleasure to recommend Nicki and WorkBox. We found them to be a reliable, professional and very dynamic team. We would not hesitate to use them again and in fact, are looking forward to working with WorkBox on other projects in the future.”
The apartments were all snapped up for let by new tenants before completion of the works due to the quality of the workmanship and their central location.
Nicki Brotherston, project manager at WorkBox, said: “I’ve really enjoyed working on a listed building in the heart of Worcester. Apart from the renovation of the externals, seeing the living accommodation refurbished to high quality living has been exciting to see come to life. Now they are completed, you can see what wonderful homes they will make.”
“It hasn’t been without challenges. Difficult access to the lightwell meant we opted to use abseillers to do the window repairs rather than delay the project waiting for complicated scaffold designs and approvals. This ensured our client did not incur any additional charges or time delays.”
