Workbox successfully completes school project over the summer break.
The project brief was to sub divide various open teaching areas within the school, into smaller classrooms. The partitions were constructed, to include glazed sections, but still had to achieve the required Db level for a teaching environment. For fire safety we manufactured and fitted bespoke 30 minute fire doors, re-routed existing lighting circuits and electrical sockets, supply and fitted new carpeted areas and decoration to match the existing theme.
Asbestos was found in the areas in which the work was to be carried out, so we discussed our programme with the appointed asbestos contractor to ensure the next area was clear and ready for the refurbishment to commence; – Robert Woodhead
