Case Study

Touch screen provider Touch 4 Media called on WorkBox to carry out refurbishment work at the Grade II listed building. Our design team provided interior design, project management, fit out and refurbishment services at their head office in Manchester, which required an application for Grade II Listed Building approval.

The specifications for the project at the offices at Royal Mills in the city centre reflected the listed building status, marrying a contemporary design whilst maintaining the original internal features. Works included the provision of new office partitioning including full height glass and solid doors, reception area, boardroom, comms room, kitchen and new office furniture. The original ornate period iron pillars were exposed and refurbished bringing them back to their former glory.

WorkBox director, Stuart Thacker, said: “It was a pleasure to be asked to work with Touch 4 on this project which required a sympathetic approach because of the listed status. We were very pleased with the outcome, blending the modern with original features.”
