The Brief

WorkBox was appointed by Insight Surveyors to deliver the complete design, installation, commissioning and handover of mechanical, electrical and building fabric works as part of the development of the client’s new operational facility.

The project required a comprehensive multi-disciplinary solution to create a modern,efficient and fully compliant workspace warehouse facilities and a dedicated communications room. The scope included the design and installation of critical building services, life safety systems, security infrastructure, environmental controls and specialist warehouse protection systems.

The objective was to provide our client with a high-quality, future-proof facility that would support their day-to-day operations while meeting all current regulatory and performance requirements.

Our Approach

WorkBox provided a full turnkey solution, managing the project from detailed design through to final commissioning and client handover.

Working closely with our clients and key stakeholders, our team developed a coordinated mechanical, electrical and fabric design package, ensuring all disciplines were fully integrated and aligned with the client's operational requirements. Detailed calculations, technical drawings and energy assessments were undertaken to support the design process and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Throughout the installation phase, WorkBox coordinated all building services and construction activities, maintaining close communication with the client to minimise disruption and ensure the programme remained on track. Particular attention was given to the integration of critical infrastructure, including specialist communications room facilities, warehouse environmental systems, life safety installations and security systems.

Quality assurance formed a key part of our delivery strategy, with all systems subjected to rigorous testing, inspection and commissioning procedures prior tohandover. Comprehensive client demonstrations and training sessions were also provided to ensure a smooth transition into operation.

WorkBox successfully delivered a fully integrated mechanical, electrical and fabric solution that met the operational needs of our client while achieving all project objectives.

The completed facility benefits from modern building services infrastructure, energy-efficient systems, enhanced fire and security protection, dedicated environmental controls and a purpose-built communications room designed to support critical business functions. The warehouse and office areas are fully protected by comprehensive life safety and sprinkler systems, providing a safe and compliant working environment.

Following successful testing and commissioning, the project was handed over complete with all required documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, as-fitted drawings, commissioning records and health and safety information.

The result is a high-quality, future-ready facility that provides our client with a reliable, efficient and scalable environment to support their continued growth and business operations.
