Charitable Events

As a small business, giving back to our community is so important to us. From donating to a local food bank to sponsoring charities supporting disadvantaged children, WorkBox strive to help make a difference. We are involved, individually and as a team, in many different charitable events over the course of the year.

In the past 12 months, our team held a MacMillan coffee morning where the cakes went down a treat and raised £115 for a great cause. We also hosted a food bank collection at Christmas for the Trussell Trust in Doncaster. Our design assistant Ella hosted a cake sale for Breast Cancer Now and we are already planning a fundraising walk for the Alzheimer’s Society this summer as well as a WorkBox team signing up for the Sheffield 10K in September.

We also sponsored the children’s charity, Variety, by funding an award at the Midlands Props Awards 2025. The Rising Star Award not only highlights our dedication to the property industry's growth and success, but also to improving the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children in the Midlands. On the night, our directors worked alongside other guests towards raising enough money to buy a much-needed wheelchair for a little boy.

WorkBox were also delighted to once again be invited to support the Get A-Head charitable trust, which raises money to help people and their families suffering from head and neck diseases. This year we sponsored a table at 30th anniversary charity ball, which raised more than £84,000 on the night.

Our directors Stuart and Matt also took on the Climb of Life up the Fairfield Horseshoe in the Lake District. Battling fierce weather conditions, they joined an inspiring group of fundraisers to support the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). In total, the climbers taking part raised over £90K for research into cancer cures. It was the 37th year the event was held and hopefully this year, even more of the WorkBox team will take part!

Closer to home, our office manager Helen and our finance director Jo, completed the Walk 62 miles Challenge for Cancer Research UK. Between them, the duo raised over £1,300 and they even managed to get some steps in on their mini break to Dubai!
